With a commanding view of Victoria Harbour, The Bauhinia Hotel is conveniently located in a centrally-located area in Tsim Sha Tsui, one of the business, shopping, entertainment and sightseeing districts in Hong Kong. The hotel was looking to bring their rooms up to date with smart room technologies, to offer guests more customized comfort.

INSIGHTS & INNOVATION
We transformed one of the existing rooms in the hotel into a smart, automated room by introducing various smart solutions. All light fixtures, A/C, TV, curtains can be centrally controlled via our Control Free platform, either individually or combined for different scene settings. A Google Nest hub touch panel enables guests to control all connected devices inside the room. Guests may also choose to use voice control, or activate different scenes with bedside touch panel.

The system can be easily scaled up with the integration of new devices and controllers. Based on evolving user preferences, more types of sensors can also be added to further customize automation modes and scene settings.

One tiny smart hub connects all devices and systems, and requires no physical server. The wireless lighting control system has reduced costs associated with conventional conduit and wiring by 50%.
